Deities Knows Best

Sometime before Chinese New Year 2019, my Tao Fa disciple M Whatsapps me saying that he encounter some problem at work.

Apparently he and his workmates was complaint by a colleague at work that could lead to Domestic Inquiry by their Human Resource Department.

After he informed me on the whole situation, it was obvious it was a unfounded allegation. As he has voice his concern to me, although he did not ask for help specifically... The next day I went into a brief meditative stabilisation and enquired with our temple Deities whether I should intervene using Tao Fa.

Deities instructions was that the matter would resolve on its own, however my disciple need to go to his company area and 'report' to the local 'Datuk' @ local earth deities on his circumstances. He just needs to inform the earth deities that he is a disciple of our temple and inform on his problem at work.

Today I received a good news and closure for his case.

Being a KDS Temple disciple has many advantages, whats more if a Tao Fa Disciple.

Our temple requirement for temple disciple is the person must be a member for 1 year and upon request subject to approval by Deities will become a temple disciple. Those that have been helped by me using Tao Fa is mandatory to become temple disciple.

Although requirement for a Temple Disciple for the first year is to attend all 3 Main Deities Celebration. 2nd year onwards compulsory yo attend the Celebration of Jin Ying Zu Shi 金英祖师 when one is in the country with exception given to those on working assignments.

Although the requirement sounds simple, many still fail to fulfill it. When one is having problems, any promise can be made. When one is trouble free, any excuses will deem to be a fact.

Making of the Invisible Child 3 - Thai Necromancers Invisible Partner - LukKrok

In my early days of Taoism, I have a tendency to be open and seek out Masters, friends and contacts of those in various traditions from Taoist medium, Muslim healers, Indonesian Shamans to Thai Wicha or Occult masters. Those were young curious days.

After taking on the responsibility of Tao Fa and vision of setting up Kam Dong San Temple in Penang, my quest for different traditions slowed down but nevertheless I have maintain good contacts with many Masters and experts in different traditions and consider them as lifelong friends. As we say in Chinese 同台吃饭 各自修行, sitting together having a meal, but each one to their own cultivation, means end of the day each must walk their own spiritual path in cultivation as each have their own calling in life.
This article is written in conjunction with the 2nd installment of my article The Making of Invisible Child  (Kumanthong) 2 .

Each tradition of Magic or Sorcery has a source to draw its power from, for Yang Energy Sorcery 阳法 some will be from Deities within the lineage (Tao Fa 道法), some will be from the ancestors, some will be from elemental, some will be from Protectors of the Lineage and for Necromancers, it will be from spirits of the dead.

Image from https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/powerlisting/images/9/92/Necromancer_1005.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20180519075758

Description from WikiPedia
Necromancy (/ˈnɛkrəmænsi/)[1][2] is a practice of magic involving communication with the dead – either by summoning their spirit as an apparition or raising them bodily – for the purpose of divination, imparting the means to foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge, to bring someone back from the dead, or to use the dead as a weapon, as the term may sometimes be used in a more general sense to refer to black magic or witchcraft.[3][4]

For the Thai, Cambodia Laos tradition of Wicha, the Necromancers or those practicing the lineage of using Spirits (阴法) for their work will definitely have a LukKrok as part of their Yin Marshalls 阴将.

So what is LukKrok?
LukKrok in the most traditional sense are unborn babies that have not seen the daylight. Meaning aborted naturally because they cannot continue to form into full human babies or they are remove from dead pregnant mothers who died from encountered mishaps.

Aborted babies due to decision made by the mother is not considered LukKrok in strict sense. Those are considered KumanThongs potentials only.

Why do Thai Necromancers uses LukKrok?
It is the blend of the innoncence of an unborn being and the unfortunate events that caused them to be chained to this physical plane of existence. On 1 angle, they have not yet experience life and the innocence of a child, while on the other angle of being curse by circumstances to be doom onto this plane as a spirit with no way of getting onwards to further re-birth. That creates a full level of anguish and hatred. From this sense, the power of LukKrok then becomes immense if compared to normal human beings who have experienced life and becomes ghost or spirits. Those departed are just ghosts with certain unresolved attachments that holds them back from re-birth.

How does Lukkrok develops its immense power?

After the Necromancer obtained the unborn child's body, it will then uses a ritual to summon and convert the hatred energy into a spiritual force to then infused onto the unborn spirit. This is usually done by roasting it, a ritual of rebirth through fire until it becomes almost carbonised form. Then it is further chanted and enhanced by the spiritual incantion. After all pacification ritual is done and enhancement is being infused, it is officially a LukKrok

What is the difference between Kumanthong and LukKrok?

Most of KMT is being done by monks in their compassion for child spirit, hoping that they would be able to be reborn soon if they helped the person that invites them home. Sharing of merits with the KMT is a form of compassion in hope that they enter the cycle of rebirth soon. And usually KMT are Theps or child devas, if not they are 1 child spirit but usually being separated into many amulets and effigies for devotees.

LukKrok on the other hand, is 1 whole spirit residing in its carbonised body kept by the Necromancers. Chances of entering re-birth again is minimal due to the circumstances that be fall upon the child before he was even born. If LukKrok can be send off for re-birth easily, high level monks in Thailand would not be keeping the LukKrok that they found or pass on to them in the temple halls and daily chantings for many decades.

What do the Necromancers do with the LukKrok?
From conducting rituals of love binding, charms, hex or even curse, the Necromancers can use the LukKrok to do their bidding. Because the invisible child only follows and obey the command of the necromancers, regardless of any moral and ethics consideration. If the Necromancer main service is to help others, then the LukKrok would at least be receiving some merits, however it is very unlikely to find such type of Necromancer.

Any transporting of foetus, bodies and human body flesh parts among countries is illegal. Thailand have also banned this practice long time ago, yet there are still interested parties that look for such items.

Traditionally they are the companions of the Necromancer, but when those who decide to commercialised it make up big stories about how it would gather richness and fame if one were to obtain it. Just like ritual implements and items in Taoist and Vajrayana. Having it without knowing what to do with it, is the same as a museum piece.

For LukKrok however, having the being at your side, but do not know what to do with them is more dangerous in every sense of the word.

The purpose of this article is to let the readers know where do Thai Necromancers draw their power from and also distinguishing what is Kumanthong and LukKrok. Too often they are lump together as one subject.

Making of the Invisible Child (Kumanthong 古曼童 ) 2

I have written an article about Kumanthong 古曼童 10 years ago on this blog here Making of Invisible Child 1.

A continuation of the article was prompted by my recent case of a client with many Kumanthong (KMT) that seems to backfire on his brother.

Photos from https://moveek.com/en/bai-viet/kumanthong-thien-linh-cai-hai-loai-bua-chu-hoan-toan-khac-nhau-bi-lam-tuong-la-mot/

This article will serve as a cautionary purpose and also to dispel myths created by many YouTube channels in Asia on the negative effects of Kumanthong.

1. First and foremost, before invitation of Kumanthong, the person need to ask themselves, what are the motivation to invite them?
Most that I have heard is to help on wealth and especially 4D or lottery. To me that is the unrealistic and bound for failure in terms of expectation. Either the KMT is a Thep which is a low level Deity/Deva or a spirit type also requires merit to do their work.

As I have highlighted to readers in many of my blog articles, any beings that help a person accelerate the wealth or sudden wealth have to pull it from somewhere, meaning using up the person's existing merit 福报 to manifest the wealth.

If the person already low on merits, then no matter how they wish or pray and ask from their KMT, it is difficult to render help or to assist in making things fall into place.
Then there are those that already got what they wanted or helped by their KMT but they did not do their replenishment of merit. Then they see thing went downhill or got worst than before they invited their KMT.

2. Can the person commit to long term offering? Daily and also weekly offerings are needed. And depends on the type of KMT some are really ghost child and not low level deities, and to sustain their form or spirit they need offering...many like the idea of an invisible friend to help on money but not many can commit long term. Just look at the numbers of abandon pets, those are animals that we can see. For KMT, the easy way to think is that most likely they are not there, all are imagination only, to justify for their own lack of will or any excuse to support their action.

3. For those that are searching the web and thinking, do process it in your mind thoroughly, KMT are not created to satisfy a person need of having a cute idol or follow a latest gothic trend or even fashionable.

My recent client J, who owned a lot of KMT in his office, was experiencing serious financial trouble. Although it was not caused by KMT, but it started from the shop that they invited the KMT.

The shop owner reinstall or what we call reset all the Taoist Deities in his house and office. When I reach his house, his Taoist Deities on altar all was empty, so was the Tua Pek Kong at his shops 福德正神. The only remaining active spiritual items are his KMT.

After advising him on his house Feng Shui, I then proceeded to his office for audit, when the office door opened, I sense an energy wave from his KMT altar. The Taoist altar energy is empty. I then advised him to go back to the temple that have consecrated the Taoist Deity for him to reconsecrate the statues.

Photo from https://moveek.com/en/bai-viet/kumanthong-thien-linh-cai-hai-loai-bua-chu-hoan-toan-khac-nhau-bi-lam-tuong-la-mot/

When we reached his office on the 3rd Floor, there is room in front in which he place few Buddha statues, incense urn and also some Tibetan Prayer Flags. I then asked him what was all those about, he told me he learn from certain Feng Shui author about venerating Buddha statues and also performing incense prayers. All those statues however are not consecrated. And he told me previously some of his staff told him they felt something in the room. I felt it as well, but it is more of a roaming entity. After I returned home, I sent him some Taoist talisman to settle his house and office problem.

I have also proceeded to advice him on how to request and communicate more  effectively with his big group of KMT. It was the right decision on him for not trying to abandon the KMT when his finances turn bad. As a matter of fact, it was his brother that invited those KMT one after the other when he strike some lottery upon having his first KMT. But was the first one to abandon all offerings when they were hit by financial difficulty.

If he were to abandon them as well, then most likely his predicament would be much more worse that what he was experiencing then.

Today as of writing this blog, I have just receive another message from him that his finances and life is much more stable than before....

A Cold Pre CNY at Cheng Huang Hall

It has been a while since I have updated this blog. Most of my 'adventures' or updates are on Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/mastergkham

I had many incidences and cases to write about. However my latest experience would need to be blog asap.

As many readers/followers of this blog knows, my relationship and affinity with the Penang City God, goes back more than a decade ago, even before the Kam Dong San temple was setup at Harbour Trade Centre at Macallum Penang.

It was the Eve of Chinese New Year 2019, as usual we would be in the temple to setup the 赵公明元帅 Zhao Gong Ming Wealth God altar for 5th Day Celebration and also other preparation activities.

For more than 10 years every year on the eve of CNY, I would visit the Cheng Huang Temple in Penang and when Kam Dong San have its own Cheng Huang Hall when I started offering yearly at our temple as well.

This is a personal gesture of thanks and gratitude given to Cheng Huang and all his officers.

When I started doing this practice, and other members that came to temple on eve of CNY notice it they also follow suit. Previous years we have quite an abundance of offering at Cheng Huang Hall on the eve itself.

This year I have prepared the seafood steamboat bowl, roasted pork belly and roast chicken. I have not prepared other stuff as I assume other regulars would also be bringing their offering.

When I arrived and placed my offering at the table, something was amiss this year after we finish the setup at the main hall.

Other than my own offering there is no other offering. Regulars did not show up this year.

When I use the oracle to ask whether the offering was ok, I received a NO on the first throw.

Then it dawn upon me it is going to be long offering session. I then ask for forgiveness from Cheng Huang and all officers, then kindly requested again whether we could make it up for the offering on 5th Day CNY since on the eve, most food stall already close. Again the answer was straight no. I did not enter into meditative stabilisation as it was quite obvious. However when asking through the oracle, I can sense a lot of noise and a feeling of disgruntled.

I then quickly ask temple committees to rush and go to purchase some fried chicken at local franchise, or else it will be a long day.

When the committees rush back with the fried chicken, I quickly offered at the table including with other snacks that came with the combo.

Then I quickly seek to ask whether the offering is now okay. I immediately get a confirmation. This was witness personally by the commitees.

After we waited for about 30 minutes, I then did 3 prostrations to seek for forgiveness from the whole Cheng Huang Department on my overlooked and misjudgement on this matter and vow to not repeat such mistake. Immediately I receive another confirmation.

2020 Chinese New Year, our temple will be fully in charge on the Cheng Huang Hall Pre CNY offering and no longer rely on my assumptions that others will consistently show up due to their past offering of thanks.

Will Cheng Huang Department still be as efficacious in their actions on member's request for help? That we will have to find out for ourselves.

莫欺山莫欺水 Do not look down on mountains or the waters

Prayers goes out to the missing 13 boys football team in Chiangrai, Thailand. With hopes that the rescuers around the world would be able to find them soon.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/thailand-cave-search-latest-boys-football-team-missed-trapped-rescue-tham-luang-chiang-rai-a8426546.html

There is a saying in Chinese that 欺山莫欺水, that one can bully the mountains but do not do so with waters. It means that you can fool around when in mountain areas but for water it will be very fast that one will lose their life. I am here to add that one should not look down on either one.

From a spiritual perspective, high mountains and caves are the dwellings of spiritual beings that cultivates. They could be benevolent spirits or even malicious spirits depending they are cultivating according to the Dao 正道, Dharma 佛法 or even cultivating to become Demons. You just never know which ones you will bump into if you frequent into the uncharted or unfamiliar grounds and areas.
Photos from https://iamthemountain.org/2017/12/21/solstice-rekindles-stone-mountains-lost-airmail-history/

Common for mountains and caves are those that descend or go into such place, will easily get lost and cannot seems to find their way out. Usually this occur when the person that goes into such places was behaving rudely, uttering bad malicious speech and many more other actions that maybe offensive to the dwelling spirits at the area. Or sometimes could be the person was down in their luck while traversing through such places.

Photos from http://www.jsnt.co.uk/raam/?p=258

Which is why in each cultures there are the do's and don't, rituals of respect and also prohibition when entering into a mountainous area.

So what should you do (the basics), if you found yourself lost in such a place?

1. First check whether you are going in circles, even though you may seem to walking some distance. Place some clues on the ground before attempting to go searching for a way out. If you notice you come back to the same spot even after your travel some time, then most likely you are being spell bound by the entity at the area.

2. Do not attempt to further walk out of the place, as you will most likely be walking up and down in the same place while being spell bound. Stay put where you are and hopefully people will start to come look for you. That is why it is crucial to leave contacts with park rangers, family members and also close friends on where you are going and how long you will be at that particular place so that they know to look for you after a certain period of time.

3. What to do when you stay put? Know which Buddhist mantra that you usually chant, chant that continuously. Ask for forgiveness from the mountain deities or spirits. If you are a Taoist Disciples or only familiar with Taoist Deities, chant the Taoist Deities name continuously. Important is to remain calm.

After some time, try to find your way out again. If you are in a group, do not attempt to split up, It will more dangerous if you are dealing with malicious spiritual entity.

The rest of it is Survival Skills 101.

Insidious Adventures

I have been meditating since I was in primary school, secondary school gotten more serious about it and when I was exposed to Buddhism and Taoism then there is meditation of letting go and meditative stabilisation of working in the spiritual level. Amid all these experiences, I am still a very noob in meditation in the language of my teenage son.

Few years back, I use to have experiences of wandering off in my dreams during my sleep. Meaning dreaming of strange places or neighbourhoods which is dark or usually on a cloudy day. And most of the time these dreams are vivid and lucid. After few adventures of this kind, I enquire with a fellow senior master...he just told me you don't wander off at night after you sleep.

What he meant was, my soul or consciousness likes to go out of my body during my sleep. And most of the time I ended somewhere in Bardo states of consciousness in other words lower realms. Although I did not experience any harm in my dream, usually I would met up with dead relatives and their first word to me would be something like "How come you are here?"

Anyway I have figure a way to lock my consciousness and not to allow myself to uncontrollably wander off in my dreams. Since then work pretty well, coz I do not have weird dreams or vivid dreams anymore. If you know me, you would know that showing up in my dream is usually not a good thing as it is a sign from either Deities that something is coming next few days or weeks for the other person or myself.

Well last week, I had one of those dreams and it was worth sharing here. I dreamt one of my old friend and disciple 'K' was driving me and my family just down a village road, and when the car came to a simple bridge, the bridge was slightly curved. Instead of following the curve and just drive across the bridge, he decided to speed up and make a drastic turn, of course then the car would flew to the left side of the bridge and land on the river...somehow in the dream and he was about to land, I told him land further near the river bed and true enough he did (It was a dream!)

After we had a slight rough landing, we walked out of the car safely, nobody was injured in the dream. But soon a lot of villagers show up, they were not the friendly type, look quite hostile and were pointing towards me and K.

Quickly I told K lets slowly walked out of here, they do not dare to touch us and slowly we walked on the village road arriving to some stores in the village. Slowly however more villagers notice our arrival and they are in not friendly gestures, I told K in my dreams, lets take shelter in this corner shop house, it has chinese wording on it, looks something like a 1960s coffee shop. Anyhow we entered the cafe, locked the door, the we try to take some sneak peek through the windows of the shop. I can see those villagers are not locals of Malaysia. Local here means they are not Chinese, Indian or Malay people. Looks a bit native with languages I could not understand in the dream.

Then after a while, I told K that we better leave this place before the whole village shows up and then most likely we will be trapped. I slowly leave the shop house and walk down the road out of the village. Some stood on the side and stare at us but no harm came to us. Then I woke up in middle of the night, usual time is around 3:30am or 3:45am.

The next day, I called up K and asked him whether he have been doing any smoke offering practice lately. I then proceed to update him on my dream the night before, then suddenly I remembered he told me he was helping a friend to sell or acquire a piece of land. I suggest to him that maybe it has something to do with this piece of land that he was involved with.

Then K proceed to informed me in detail about the land. He told me actually that piece of land belong to his friend and that piece of land also contain their family relative tombs, about 20 of the tombs are located at that piece of few acres land. His friend were planning to develop a columbarium building on part of the land and also some other development. I immediately advised to K that he better forgo this land deal, as obviously the ancestors that are buried there are not so happy with the plan they have in regards to developing the land.

Any relocation of tombs especially on an area needed to be handled with exceptional care and with correct spiritual procedures being done before hand. Well after my advice, K immediately inform his friend that he cannot help him anymore for the development of the land.

|
Few days later K update me that actually on that piece of land there is a Thai Temple that houses columbariums. I immediately inform K that this confirm my dream, as the group of people in the dream are not local natives. So this confirm my dream.

K then proceed to advice his friend that he better get the correct approval and procedures spiritually before proceeding further with this project.
