I received a call for help from my schoolmate and good friend regarding his female cousin house have a possibility of haunting. He had also passed my wife number to his cousin so that they could contact us directly.
Before any of readers of the blog get ahead of yourself, first and foremost any cases regarding possibility of haunting, spirit or possession MUST go through our templeS no exception. Means the patrons have to come personally to temple to seek for clarification whether there is any signs or possibility of spirit disturbance.
It is not up to me to say whether there is or there is none. The patrons have to come themselves, announce their name, date of birth and address to the deities, then they pick up the oracle ‘Puay’ with their own hands and throw the Puay to ask personally through the communication with Deities - no medium no self fantasy or through words of any other person of the temple. If base on odds scientifically, your answer have a possibility of Yes is 33.33% will remaining % is a NO.
Plainly the odds are stacking against you on getting a YES answer which is correct and normally very seldom you will have spiritual encounters.
Well the cousin did showed up at our temple, she did what the required procedure was and she got a YES on the oracle on her first ask. That is not the end of the filtering procedure. When she gotten a YES then my temple Senior Operations Mr Wan informed me and I then have to do the further spiritual checking on what is the real story behind.
When I went into meditative stabilisation in that very evening, I saw 1 lady spirit kind of plump standing beside an old lady. The spirit was smiling at me, she let me know she followed them from the hospital. Then I looked at the old lady, her head was turning downwards not looking at me. At that moment I assume the old lady was my friend’s cousins mum. Then I peer closer in my mind, I saw the person sort of have another spirit moving inside the body. It’s like a semi invisible person trying to break out of the body, all this while the old lady was head down, and busying eating things.
Ok that was the confirmation I needed that there is 2 spirit attached. I came out of my meditative stabilisation and re-confirm with my Deities the number and also steps and process to take. Deities told me, you haven’t looked clearly - look carefully again.
I went back in and looked again at the old lady - then only I realised the old lady isn’t the cousin’s mum but an additional spirit already attached to her as well. So total 3.
At the same time, under Deities instructions, I have to remotely seal their altar urn when in meditative state for fear that the spirits might use their altar to reside within the house.
Brief background on my friend’s cousin - both her parents due to elder age, frequently have to go to hospital for procedures regularly. I have also encountered few cases whereby due to regular hospital visits, there is a possibility of spirit attachment when the body is weak and without strong spiritual security at home.
After I have prepared the required talisman for their case that same evening, the next day due to Deity Celebration at temple I have passed the talisman and instructions to Mr Wan for him to later contact the patron to come and collect it.
By early evening, my friend DN message me again asking whether his cousin have come by to collect the talisman? I assume Mr WAN did not yet contact the cousin due to our busy day at temple. Then by later evening, DN forward me a screenshot message with content of his lady cousin’s brother who just came back from KL telling him ‘My house energy is very clean’ and additionally with message his sister energy is strong and so on. I saw my friend reply within the message - your sister consulted my friend/Sifu and confirm the house have spirit.
I corrected my friend in my conversation with him. I did not consult your cousin. It was your cousin whom consulted the Deities! She use her own palms to picked up the oracle and asked for confirmation - nobody other than her gotten the confirmation nor had a hand or mentally influence her to accept there is spiritual disturbance.
Our temple in handling all spiritual cases is on a pro bono basis in simple terms FREE, we don’t ask for payments nor would I ask for any payment for compensation of my time. As I volunteer my life in leading the 2 temples from the beginning of the formation till now (20+ years)
As soon as I received this message from DN, I quickly called Mr Wan asking him whether he has contacted DN’s cousin. Mr Wan then relayed to me, he has already tried to called her after I have passed the talisman to her. He told me at first there was no picked up then 1 time the phone picked up and was hang up immediately. He also tried to WhatsApp her but no reply.
So we could only assume, that DN’s cousin was so fearful of our temple contacting her more than any spirit disturbance, most likely after her brother’s scanning of their house and saying everything was clear.
I have also instructed Mr Wan, if the patron ever reply kindly inform her that we know the family already solved the problem therefore we have closed the case.
Now as a reader you might be thinking which is correct, have spirit disturbance or not? When you looked at the flow process from enquiry till their no answer ( and the suspicion started due to the person’s maid experience someone tap her shoulder, they started hearing weird noises in the house)
Many mistaken that Taoist Temple main purpose is to help everyone without filter of any kind. Taoist will only help those without affinity. We don’t force or hard up to appear to be nice and eager to help even those that did not ask for it. In fact the criteria to help is even more strict comparing it from Buddhism perspective.
Those that cannot or unable to be help in our industry we classified it as Heavy Karma. Case Closed.
