Grandma and Thai Wicha

My initial fascination with Thai Wicha starts almost the same time when I first started my cultivation journey more than 25years ago. My first amulet was given to me by my late dad, the one he requested from a travelling monk he met at airport where he used to work. 

After receiving the amulet, that evening itself, while drinking water I somehow carelessly bit into the glass. The shattered glass pieces in the mouth didn’t cause any injury. This is the first experience of Thai amulets when I was about 10 years old.

My fascination with Thai amulets and Wicha are the main reasons it has drawn me to know so many good and capable practitioners in the Thai Lineage. Due to language barrier, I did not pursue into Thai Wicha as oppose to Tao Fa. 

Nevertheless my interest in Thai Wicha didn’t stop, I pursued to interview and find out from many different Teachers and Masters on how their spells and rituals are done. Also at the same time finding out the difference between Thai Wicha and Tao Fa.

About 10 years ago, my dad one day told me that my late grandma actually have taught him a mantra@spell. The spell is related to weather control. He shared with me how my grandma would chant this spell if she saw impending big storm approaching their home in the paddy fields when he young , and how the storm would calm into normal rain. 

At that time, I didn’t know whether anyone in my grandma’s family was practicing Thai Wicha or not, I knew for a fact she was half Thai half Chinese. Looking back, when I started cultivating and doing rituals outdoors, clear skies are the norms for 90% of the case. I never thought much about it as our own lineage of Yang Fa 阳法 requires sunlight during most important rituals.

Of course throughout the years, I have also had an Indonesian Bomoh good friend that passed me his so called ‘weather altering’ tasbih@chant beads that he told me has khodam in it to help in this effect. Did I try it? Yes. Did it worked? You bet. But the chanting to upkeep the item was too much of a tedious for me. 

There are also other techniques of altering clouds and techniques with Tao Fa, however those method is overused will be harmful to the body. I once had a serious bout of pheumonia after  experimenting with it too many times. That is another blog write up.

One of the senior knowledgeable Master once told me,” if Heaven wanted to rain, let it rain la” Why do you need to disturb the cycle of the Tao? 

Taking the wrong path on 7th Lunar Month

On 20 August, I received a message from my Taoist disciple Sam informing me that her wife is being admitted into the hospital for infection. However the doctor have yet to ascertain the root cause of her infection from hive similar patches appearing on her whole body.

She had never had such allergic reaction, and the doctor is taking blood and skin sample for checking. Sam was asking me whether this might be related to something spiritual. On the previous Sunday the wife walked around a public park and the and also climb a briefly on a climbing trail.

I was surprise that they went for some hiking and bring their below 10 children along. Lunar 7th Month is not advisable for children or those with below average luck to go for climbing or water/sea related activities especially with bringing small children along/

Sam worried that his wife might step on 'something' while hiking or accidentally offended some beings in that area.

Immediately I  advised him on what to do which include bring some paper offering back to the place where he suspect she had the encounter.

I went into a brief meditative stabilization and checked with our deities of what had actually happened. Then I saw some sort like a video playback, Sam's wife walking along some jungle like area with her daughter and they pass a path with what I assume was a family/group of Tree Spirits. Inside my mind I saw the looked like a group of people wearing ghillie suits (camouflage suits used by snipers) but instead the leaves were real leaves.

Deities informed me then, if Sam did what he was instructed to remedy the situation, her wife would have strong signs of recovery the next day.

The next day morning, I message him asking how was his wife's condition. He told me about the same and also doctor informed him that they do not know what was the cause of those patches but it does not seems to be dangerous (not something internal). I immediately asked him how much paper offering did he brought with him when he went to offer near the site. He told me he brought 1 bag but decided to burn only half as there were many people walking around the area. I almost wanted to faint, no wonder there is no change in the wife's condition.

I advised him to go buy another bag and add with whatever leftover the day before, bring it immediately to the site again and offer that very evening.

Met Sam and his wife and children few days later at the temple during the Fa Zhu Gong Celebration, can see there is still some residue qi left in her body and also his daughter's surrounding aura. Gave them 3 talisman to clear and also help push out the remaining qi during the deities blessing.

We met again 6 days later during Cheng Huang Celebration, her face was all cleared but left faint marks on the leg but it is clearing. I advised her not to go near hill or seaside until all her marks are cleared.  When I uttered those words, I thought I must be silly, as it was actually quite a trauma for her to go through and I assume she would have no plans to go near the hill anytime soon. To my surprise, she told she she was actually planning to go back there that weekend during the holiday!

Once a person have some encounters with spiritual beings or their energy, and if it has left a marked on the body, you would need to wait for the mark to completely disappear before doing anything similar or go to places that are more risky spiritually. If not then it would be a huge problem, as that signifies that your own energy field/ yang qi has already been breached or what commonly known as low luck period.

Her case was easily solved due to the fact that she is a Kam Dong San temple disciple. I have heard other cases of encounters with tree spirits/beings that left permanent lifelong problems to their health even after the matter was resolved.

Enter the Dragon Pearl

Last month one of my old friend task upon me to care for this real Mystical Dragon Pearl. Some readers may be wondering dragons? Dragons is part of many cultures mythical creature.

Although there is no absolute evidence on the existence of dragon in our 'real' world. Dragons are widely accepted and recognized in the spiritual realms. Even ancient Chinese emperors use dragon as their official emblems are also to depict themselves as descendants of dragon.

According to Buddhism, nagas or dragons exist as a separate class of beings with their own realms and societal hierarachy. We have earth dragons, sky dragons, water dragons, mountain dragons and also dragons that resides in trees. Each of these different types of dragons will have their own strength and abilities depending on their type.

Every once in a while, those with high spiritual power will be able to sense items that are 'connected' to both realms (naga realm and human realm) which also have residual imprint and energy from the other realms.

However these items rarely appears as to what we would imagine it to be.  Some would think that mystical item would appear to be really 'pretty' and nice in our eyes. In actual fact that is rarely the case.

To look at the intricacies of the lines and images imprint you will need to zoom on the photo. It does not have glittery dust or semi transparent as you would imagine it to be. If compare to mystical element of this nature such as Thai 'leklai', its energy and rareness is much more superior.

I would not delve into the effects and so called power of this object or you will start to think that I need some form of medication. Just on the record, you saw the real thing on my blog and not many people have the affinity or even the merits to see the real thing.
